Only have a couple of 4 bolts cranks still in my spares as I don't think I will build many standard iron 4 bolt crank ... I will check the ones I have when i get a chance. I have thrown out many but never seen any strange numbering on ones I have thrown out.
I am sure there were special cranks made at the time in the early 60's when 4 bolt cranks were the racing cranks and also now when FIA compliance is needed
cheers
Rohan

wow
i`m guessing yours has extra dowel with a thread in it?
gonna check the weight but could be a bit heavier.mines STD thrusts faces and journals look like VERY light
running. came with assessment of FIA possible use.
i believe its one of a few Cosworth ones cast by ford for a special order for the 1st TC`s
or could have been for the cosworth X engine only 1 made?
what you think? they piece of history should not be used?

Higgy, mine is just the standard crank from my road car and has done 280,000 miles. The drive flange has a single short dowel and I think it's a bit late to stop using it. Talk to Miles Wilkins about yours: 01243 554422
