Heater control mounting to Dashboard.

PostPost by: john.houston » Fri Jun 01, 2018 10:26 pm

Hi .Another question that probably requires a Photo .
After rewiring and re veneering the dash I came to a stop .I should have taken pics but now 10 yrs on I cant find anything in the strip down box that looks like it will secure the heater control to the inside of the dash. Its stopping the Dash going in permanently .
Any pics or advice would be great.
Thanks again John.

It's just a thin nut, as far as I recall. (on an S3).

Seems to be 4 short screws one each corner on my car.

Four short wood screws as already mentioned. Make sure they are not too long so they don?t go right through and damage the veneer.

Thanks for the pictures ,they really do help. I expected larger brackets to deal with the force used to slide the 2 arms. I will go and check the box of bits .
Thanks again .
