Replacement mechanical fuel pumps with NO glass dome(made in india) produce too much pressure.
If you go electric pump for me the best is "Huco" no noise.

Facet also makes a variety of small "cube" pumps with various fitting sizes and pressure/flow ratings. They also have a cube with a 6AN-3/8 male flare in/out that make a neat set up if you are using braided line. You should consider a fuel pressure regulator on any pump. Just a note regarding mounting these cube pumps - the in should go on the bottom if you mount it either straight up and down or, as they recommend, set the pump at 45 degrees.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I looked at on of those on the Eurocarb site - https://www.dellorto.co.uk/shop/car-acc ... ump-133000
But was a bit mystified by the statement that it should -
"mounted in the engine compartment but not in an area of radiant engine heat" Where? In front of the rad?
What is the advantages over the normal tubular type? These are the ones with all the cheap chinese copies?

There are 2 models for the Huco pump.
133000 to fit next to tank
133010 to fit in engine bay
I have used the 133000 that fits next to tank in boot mounted on rubber mounts.
100% no noise perfect.
I put the Facet in the trash bin

Thanks for the mention. I talked to Eurocarb and I'm going to order a 133010.
Low pressure, high flow rate, silent and no need for a regulator!
Now I need a neat method of converting the 6mm nylon pipe to 8mm internal fuel pipe. The nylon has a brass compression but I cannot use the 8mm compression of the rubber fuel hose!

I like the specs. of that pump. Which is better - pump installed near tank or in engine compartment?

I have fitted Huco on my TVR 3000S a 133010 and on my TVR 3000M a 133000.
Both are 100% and a very nice bit of kit.
I have also fitted a glass cleanable filter at the fuel tanks before the pumps.
On the dashboard i have fitted a warning light to know when the pump is on.

The chap from Eurocarb recommended the 133010 as being specifically suitable for Weber / Dellorto as it is low pressure / high flow. WIth the 133000 you "might" need a pressure regulator.

Update on the electric pump.
Eurocarb advise that it should be fitted with the unions upwards which is conveniebnt as it fits on the
inlet side "shelf" quite neatly.
Although the pump is rated as pumping 125 litres an hour, I imagine this is in ideal conditions as connecting it up to drain the tank gives a steady 0.5 litres a minute. 30 litres an hour! Probably this is due to it sucking through a 6mm supply tube (I.D. less than 4mm). A cheapo Ebay facet copy did even worse!
I've fixed the 6mm nylon to 8mm hose problem simply by sliding the 6mm hose over the nylon. As I believe someone suggested. I used a bit of hylomar to lubricate it and got it on about 3inches, which with a couple of clips should be more than ample. I used a filter to join the 6mm hose to the 8mm.
Although nominally an 8mm connection, the 6mm hose expands to fit without much trouble.
The errant non starting I have traced to the dreaded immobiliser (I suspect). The wire between column switch and solenoid goes through it and I can only think that it does it's job rather too well. I think it is of dubious use, anyone could hot wire it from the solenoid anyway. Although I believe the central locking is also connected.
Anyway - getting there.

Well done Vince,
i hope you are as pleased as me with Huco pumps. They are a nice bit of kit.
For the filter i have used a glass cleanable filter.
