Pin Bolt tensioner Arm Bracket - ALUMINIUM washer

I've been to all the hydraulic and motor shops around town to source a replacement aluminium washer - only one that I can get my hands on has both ID & OD that's too small - does anyone have a correct size supply?

I always use a "dowty washer" on the tensioner pivot bolt and the tensioner nut to timing case - maybe searching for those will bring up a whole load of further options.

Not much, it'd be nice to use an aluminium one like first time around. Copper ones are easier to get!

I had a similar problem recently on a banjo fitting on suspension of my merc. I was able to stretch the aluminium washer by putting a socket extension, which had a nice flare, through washer and bashed extension with a hammer. It 'coned' it slightly but flattened out once torqued into position.

SJ,

I also use a bonded washer (Dowty) they are a combination of zinc plated steel, for strength, that gives you something to tighten up to and compliant rubber to create a seal. When installed you can only see the zinc plate colour which is very similar to aluminium in appearance. Most hydraulic companies stock them.
