1966 Coupe for sale in Chicago

Dear All,
After a dozen wonderful years of ownership and now a severe lack of garage space, I've decided to put my Elan Coupe up for sale (again). It is a very nice early pre-airflow example with many of the important and tasteful upgrades. Going on BaT shortly.

are the zip ties holding the frame together? just kidding, but curious what they are for?
nice dashboard!!! like the steering wheel too.

My guess would be securing the cross over brake lines.

Yes, the zip ties are just to provide extra security for the brake lines. Not really necessary. In fact, I have removed them,
