LOTUS ELAN S2 / 26R 1965 FIA Appendix K Race/Rally car

This successful endurance FIA App. K race car is in very good condition and has a fresh FIA HTP passport valid till 2026.
This 1965 Lotus Elan S2 was purchased in 2008 by classic car race ace Christophe Van Riet, owner of famous Brussels based GIPI MOTORS as his personal race/rally car. The car previously belonged to top classic racing drivers Simon Hadfield & Michael Schryver.
GIPI MOTORS completely rebuild the Elan during 2009/2010 to full 26 R specification with 100% Tony Thompson parts. To much to list but everything is on the accompanying file and over 60.000 € was invested in building a front running Lotus Elan 26 R for endurance racing. Everything correct to FIA appendix K (hence fresh FIA HTP passport valid till 2026):
Fresh engine with less than 10 hours since rebuild; dyno tested at a reliable 175 HP

The Mustang did pass me in the following straight but I passed it again in the fast turn following that. at Zandvoort. Long battle but in the end the Mustang was ahead but did not make it to the finish and the Elan did !

The Race Results show that the Mustang indeed did not finish, but it drove at least 4 laps more as you did....
