LOTUS ELAN S2 / 26R 1965 FIA Appendix K Race/Rally car

This successful endurance FIA App. K race car is in very good condition and has a fresh FIA HTP passport valid till 2026.
This 1965 Lotus Elan S2 was purchased in 2008 by classic car race ace Christophe Van Riet, owner of famous Brussels based GIPI MOTORS as his personal race/rally car. The car previously belonged to top classic racing drivers Simon Hadfield & Michael Schryver.
GIPI MOTORS completely rebuild the Elan during 2009/2010 to full 26 R specification with 100% Tony Thompson parts. To much to list but everything is on the accompanying file and over 60.000 ? was invested in building a front running Lotus Elan 26 R for endurance racing. Everything correct to FIA appendix K (hence fresh FIA HTP passport valid till 2026):
Fresh engine with less than 10 hours since rebuild; dyno tested at a reliable 175 HP
New 80 liter ATL fuel cell (valid 2019)
TTR Salisbury 4.12 heavy duty differential & hubshafts
Full 26R / TTR cooling system
TTR racing straight cut close ratio gearbox
Fully adjustable TTR suspension with race/rally set ups
2 x lightweight Tillet FIA high back racing seats
FIA plumbed in Fire extinguisher
New light weight starter motor
6 magnesium wheels + spare radiator + spare exhaust + lots of tyres
Car is on the button and ready to race or rally
Car is actually road registered in Belgium and visible in Waregem - Belgium
Eligible for Tour Auto, Modena Cento Ore, Spa 6 Hours, Masters pr?- 66 Gentlemen Drivers, U2TC, NK HTGT, Goodwood Revival and all the best racing series world wide including Le Mans Classic

The Mustang did pass me in the following straight but I passed it again in the fast turn following that. at Zandvoort. Long battle but in the end the Mustang was ahead but did not make it to the finish and the Elan did !

The Race Results show that the Mustang indeed did not finish, but it drove at least 4 laps more as you did....

Hello to all,

The Elan has been sold just before last summer and I forgot to mention it here.
BTW : happy new year to all (still january...) with a lot of Lotus fun.
I'll stay with my S4 Sprint DHC as only Lotus but I miss the track days already...
