The Prat is Back

Sorry Jeff but if you will allow Wise Guys like Leslie to pollute the columns of this forum.......

I fear a period of suspension looming so will take a self imposed exile and suffer the world of Lotus 7's and Formula Junior.

Fraternal Salutations to all at The Guild :D

It's one of those optical illusions you know it's there somewhere but the eyes are distracted... I know I'm a very shallow person...

Hello,
As a new member to this forum I find that last post really petty and ill mannered. If you are talking about the same Leslie that has been extremely helpful in my quest for an elan, I'm sorry but I would be very tempted to leave this forum and leave you guys to your squabbles.

All the best. Stan.

Ooh hark at her!

I refer you to my previous reply to Leslie.....

Leslie,
I thought my reply would raise a smile with you? I have said it before that you are very good company and very knowledgeable and passionate about Lotus Elans, but you have an unfortunate tendency to get your literal shotgun out and give innocent people both barrels for the slightest indiscretion.

Cheer up! Let's have the proper Leslie 512BB back on here..... many people know him as the helpful guy who properly reconditions differentials and sells them on at a very fair price, others know him as a collector of top Lotus Elans and font of knowledge.

Things get heated on here sometimes, we are all pretty sophisticated articulate individuals who don't take kindly to being slapped down. Humour is often a good response or defence, but unfortunately this doesn't always work as it is often misunderstood or misconstrued, sometimes you just have to say what you think straight out and sometimes this gets us into trouble because that sort of sometimes offensive behaviour is unsettling to a global audience.

I had no intention of opening old wounds, you have my home number, please give me a call.
Kindest regards

Ha! Funny my girlfriend is too! I've worked for a Dutch engineering company for fourteen years and my Dutch is still rubbish. I really like the Netherlands...apart from the herring which I reckon is a WMD.

I really like the smoked eel, I think they call it Parling? Herrings are great if they are pickled. Smoked Eel tastes like the best smoked salmon you have ever tasted and then some more!

Do I speak Dutch? Jah! Een heel klein beitje......
