this reminds me of a thread from a long time ago when i changed my webers from the standard factory set to 31s i acquired from ebay. The trumpets on the 31s were much shorter than the standard , and , as such , presented a bit of a solution to whatever folk think might be at fault with air ingress of no 4 cylinder.... or am I kidding myself?

I received the following dimensions from Tony Thompson Racing (added the inch conversions ). As expected from the previous posts, it confirms the product is designed for 45's ....

.....Can you please provide the following dimensions:

- External length of the backplate (without the inlet horn). 363mm ( ~14 1/4" )
- External length of the entire airbox/backplate assembly with the inlet horn. 475mm ( ~18 3/4" )
- External height of the backplate. 110mm ( ~4 3/8" )
- The maximum external height of the backplate/airbox above the centre line of the carb inlets. 60mm ( ~2 3/8" )
- The overall external width of the unit (backplate to front face of the airbox). Is the airbox width constant front to back rather than tapered like the stock airbox? 120mm ( ~4 3/4" ) , 5 to 6 mm ( 1/4" ) taper forward to back
- Nominal diameter and extended length of the trunking hose; may need a bit longer than an Elan application to get to the nose cone? 1 metre ( ~39" )
- Any fitment advice appreciated. Looks like a great product. See attached
