this reminds me of a thread from a long time ago when i changed my webers from the standard factory set to 31s i acquired from ebay. The trumpets on the 31s were much shorter than the standard , and , as such , presented a bit of a solution to whatever folk think might be at fault with air ingress of no 4 cylinder.... or am I kidding myself? :?

I received the following dimensions from Tony Thompson Racing (added the inch conversions :D ). As expected from the previous posts, it confirms the product is designed for 45's ....

.....Can you please provide the following dimensions:

- External length of the backplate (without the inlet horn). 363mm ( ~14 1/4" )
- External length of the entire airbox/backplate assembly with the inlet horn. 475mm ( ~18 3/4" )
- External height of the backplate. 110mm ( ~4 3/8" )
- The maximum external height of the backplate/airbox above the centre line of the carb inlets. 60mm ( ~2 3/8" )
- The overall external width of the unit (backplate to front face of the airbox). Is the airbox width constant front to back rather than tapered like the stock airbox? 120mm ( ~4 3/4" ) , 5 to 6 mm ( 1/4" ) taper forward to back
- Nominal diameter and extended length of the trunking hose; may need a bit longer than an Elan application to get to the nose cone? 1 metre ( ~39" )
- Any fitment advice appreciated. Looks like a great product. See attached

- Do we need to specify carb size as 40 or 45, or one size fits both? Designed for 45's
- Estimated availability & price. Available later this week
