Hello,
Do you still need a Tachometer? If so, I have a good one from a '72 +2 that I will donate to your restoration. Just pay for the shipping and I will send it on as a gift.

The body is starting to look very good, apart from the blindingly obvious fact that it is green - what is the colour that you have chosen?

Regards
John

Nicola,

Please PM your address to me so I can pack up the tachometer and figure out the shipping costs. Are there any other small parts that you might need? I have been building up a +2 race car/touring car and there are a lot of "street" parts left over that might fit in the box with the tachometer. - Andy

Good morning guys, the Rebuilding after two years restart!!! in these two years I was never able to have time to devote to my baby, but now we start and we finish!!.
I have a question:
I have to restore the carbs Stombnerg, I asked the overhaul kit to BURLEN.CO.UK, they ask me the number of the carburetor that should be close to one of the four screws colettrore suction, but I can not find anything in my carburetor!
you know which is the right kit?

Hi Nico.

I found my numbers on the underside of the front of the carbs, but here is what i bought:

The Burlen part number for my domestic Stromberg 68 +2 was CDRK 68 when I bought it last year.
The kit does not contain the B2AR needels (B20527) or the adjustment screws (B20042).
They also have the adjustment tool B20379
I think the jets was included but ask.
They are very helpful.

Regards Jens.

Ps. Nice to see another +2 restored. :D

Nico, thanks so much for sharing the great pix of your work. Really nice, and good for you.

Would you mind sharing with us what your attachment points were on the body shell when you set up the sling and lift?? If any pix of these attachments, would be great.

Thanks so much,

regards,

Randy

Sorry, but i don' t have photo of attachments, but it's very simply, in the front the attachments it's in the support of radiator, in the rear the attachment it's in the original predisposition.
My needle dont's have your code (B2AR) but have this code: BIEE, in don't understand!!

Hello Nico.

I do not know what that number on the front means. My numbers was on the underside of the front.
Can?t remember the number on my carbs but they should be 175 CD2s.
Your?s look correct.

Did you buy your rebuild kit from Burleen?.
If so did you get new jets for your carbs?
When I bought my rebuild kit I just told them what car I had and that it hat Stromberg Carbs and then they sold me what I needed of parts. They supplied new jets and the B2AR needles as they are the most common ones for a European Lotus.
