Like the man says.....'who needs to speak Japanese when you can listen to an engine note like that?'
Music was a bit cheesy....
Car looked stunning...but will now cause me sleepless nights.
My car is still being prepped for painting and I HAD settled on a variation of Gunmetal...but now....

A great little Vid, Robbie. What a shame that there are no Japanese contributors to Elan.net. I think I'll start a new thread showing a load of Elans in Japan, and see if we can't get an answer!.
On the other subject, how can an Irishman NOT want a green Plus 2?
More pics of the Japanese car...it's Laurel Green, Peter!

Thanks Robbie for posting this,
This is exactly how my car looked when new, except that I have head rests (useless) and Dellortos instead of webers. My car got repainted in late 70s by the first owner, and is since then all over Laurel green with a thin gold stripe along the side, which I really like.
Dusty,
I also have all grey rims, original wheels I guess, and not the traditional alloy/black color pattern. I should refurbish them so they look just as good as yours. All five rims are grey with no trace of black paint. Does anybody know if this was a factory option

Ulf,
Did you install headlight washers on your car? If so, please elaborate. Thanks.

Hi Frank,
My car was sold new in Sweden, and I strongly belive that they were installed by the agent-general at that time. There is a big round plastic tank in the nose to supply fluid for these and the window washer jets. I have seen the same washers on other Swedish cars...

Looks like it didn't help then Peter!
Bob - the wheels on the car Dusty put up are the Lotus alloys, just painted silver.
Mark, that's the same car right? I've seen pics of that before but didn't put two and two together (plus two?!).
Nice car Ulf - are those headrests fitted to the original seats? Not seen that before, only the high back types (seen in the vid of the silver car).

Not sure about Ulf's car, but I think that High Back seats were standard issue for the US, at least for part of the life of the +2.
I have a friend here with a 67 +2 fitted with same seats. They are very Recarro-like and were fitted as standard to his car. (Will try and dig up a pic tomorrow).
Silver looks GREAT....that green does too.....OooOoo...'pick me! pick me!'.....
