Any one know how rear trim panels were fixed on 1968 +2 Gerard.

Gravity.......if it's the early type then it mainly push fit and interlocking

Not at home at the moment so I can't check, but I seem to recall there being a screw (possibly holding the coat hook??) accessed through the air vent behind the door.

if that is what he is talking about then, yes, I believe the coat hook screws into the back of the air vent. There is also a small screw in the door aperture, behind the door seal.
