Rejoining the +2 fold.

The missus is really going to think I've lost the run of myself this time. I'm happy to report that I've just taken delivery of 50/289. It was the body that was listed in the "for sale on other sites". It has always been a Northern Irish car and it is now tucked up beside the S4 and the Europa. I shall get to it eventually....

I was very surprised about the weight of the body. The Europa's is much lighter. I regretted selling my '69 +2 and this was an easy way to get one over in Ireland.

Just as an aside, I was talking to Richard Winter at Banks Service Station this afternoon. It seems that I have bought the last Europa chassis that will be made for awhile. He said that the chap making them has injured himself and won't be making them for quite some time or if ever again. I wonder if it is the same crowd that fabricate the Elan and +2 chassis? I am aware that Spyder still make their excellent version.

Photos to follow.

Hi Pete,
I have another Plus 2 which I hope to be starting soon. I think it's time for another Spyder chassis. I'd be interested in meeting up sometime for a chat.

I'm outside New Ross.

Hi Sean,

I noticed that there were two down in Wexford. I'm just south for Wicklow town. The town land is Knockaquirk. I'm off for the next week if you want to pop up. I would take the Elan down but I've been tasked by management to paint the house. I'll PM you my number.

Look like '68 +2 s are plentiful at the moment!

Regards,

Pete
