Vacuum solenoid valve missing

PostPost by: Ice blue » Thu Jul 05, 2018 6:30 pm

Can any forum members provide a photo of the correct headlight vacuum solenoid for a late +2S?
My +2 is missing this component, so I need to find a replacement or an alternative.
Was the original solenoid a one way valve with two ports (one in, one out) or did it have a third "breather" port?
If not, suggestions for an alternative 12v solenoid valve will be appreciated!

I have a brand new unused one if you want it, I bought it thinking I would convert my vacuum operated ones to have a solenoid rather than the dashboard switch, but in the end I went the electric motor route.
It was bought earlier this year from SJS, and also has a sintered bronze filter on the vent port.
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine!

+1 but if you fit a modern replacement there's a good chance it will be better
