Hello there,
The fan switch is 22mm. The size of the radiator is the same as the standard radiator but the core is 55mm deep instead of 32mm.
Regards
Steve.

We have been disappointed with the poor finish of the fans received from Kelowe. The plastic on the fans have sharp edges and we have had fans rejected from two clients that we have supplied Kenlowe fans, that now have "Made in Korea" stamped on the motors. Regardless of this drop in quality we received a massive price hike. We have now sourced a supply from the far East by a company that manufactures fans for major european car makers. The fans come with a two years Guarantee and are ISO 9001 standard certified. They are supplied with the performance figures and in trials have performed faultlessly giving us much positive feedback. These are being offered now to forum members at up to 50% less cost that our previous fan prices. The fans are available separately and come in the following sizes: 7" inch 9" inch 10" inch 12" inch 14" inch 16" inch We also have the plastic tie fitting system available.
The Elan range listed in our sponsors page reflects the new fan prices.

Thanks to Steve and all at Coolexperts.
I have finally fitted my recored Marston wide Fatboy, complete with fan, to my assembled Lotus Elan +2.
It fits perfectly and would just like to thank you and your team for the friendly, professional and informative assistance given.
As you know, I have done a complete nuts and bolts restoration of my car, after some 34 years in the garage.
In the next few days I will be firing up the engine and will forward details of the Radiator performance, of which I am sure will be a significant improvement on my original rad.

Credit where credit's due I purchased a Fat boy radiator with attached fan from Coolex after running around trying to save myself fifty quid which in the end probably cost me two hundred plus the Fat boy and weeks of messing about.
Put the rad on, ran it up to temperature several times, now fully pressurised and recuperating perfectly.
Fast prompt ,courteous service from Coolex.
Definitely will use again and would recommend to anyone who's considering improving the cooling of their Elan.
Worth every penny.
Lessons learned?
Use a specialised dealer thats been tried and tested.

Didn't want to fork out the price of a brand new radiator and searched the web ages for a used one but in the end, after calculating the cost of a possible recore or repair, common sense prevailed and I ended up buying a brand new Lotus Seven S2 radiator from Coolex and am totally satisfied with it. I now have a brand new unit and the exact same look as the original.
Very nice people to deal with and offer a prompt service.
