If you would like to see 26Rs running rings around Cobras and E-type...I would strongly recommend you have a look at this:

At the end of Day 2, Elans are 5th and 8th overall. Exciting stuff.

Overall result in the competition section 1st (Favaro-Badan from Switzerland) and 2nd (Kolhler/Laboisne from France) for the Elans...within a minute of each other after 2h20 of "competition sections". Another Elan was 35th (Duchene/Labourdette) after showing some impressive performances as well.

that is two in a row for the Swiss pilot, who also won the Tour Auto 2018.

Elans market value is going to be on the rise I'm afraid...

Just for your info,
That silver Elan, built by Damien Kohler is a 3 times winner: With Hans hugenholtz, it win in 2004/2006/2007, then HH sold the car back to Damien Kohler.
So with these two cars, we have 5 victories...

The green car that crashed, did that win one year as well? I think he fitted a rear antiroll bar from me via you?

Dave

You are right, Dave.

Jean-Pierre Lajournade won in the green car in 2010. Here is the amusing story in French:

https://www.newsclassicracing.com/TOUR- ... ICTOIRE-DE

To cut a long story short, it was a very difficult event that led to the exhaust manifold (in American: headers) breaking. This was "cold welded" by another member of the French Lotus club so that he could finish the final tests (such as a print race at Paul Ricard).

My understanding is that he then sold the car and according to a French Elan racer, has very recently bought it back...and lent it to the fellow who tested it against the vegetation as shown by the photo above.

Hi Dave,
As Frogelan wrote, it is this car.
Always with your anti-roll bar. Almost.
And by the way, I'm the one who found the car in Italy ...
Too bad that Lo?c Martinez and his son Jeremy crashed this little green car, but it will soon return on its wheels.
Before, they managed to show themself very competitive especially on the track ...
