It shows how video has improved since the film of those days! Some memorable names in the F3 race - Jassaud, Servoz-Gavin etc.

I will sit down and work out the kilometres that were probably driven in 1964 and compare it to the Peter Auto edition (which is rather pricey to enter). At a rough guess...the 1964 edition 3 times the distance.

Now for a little thread drifting...

I looked up the rough route for the 1964 Tour de France Automobile. It comprised at least 6060 km (Wikipedia) and took 10 days...but the organisers called it a day for the long versions after the 1964 event.

This compares to the 2020 version which is 2140 km over 5 days...
