Another possiblity

Ken,

There may be another possibility for the clutch slipping. If the clutch disk friction material breaks off the disk, it will cause both slippage and vibration. The pieces can get stuck in the edge of the pressure plate and flap around inside the bell housing (personal experience).

Thanks for the help and advice. Clutch removal I'm afraid. From
previous posts I think removal of the engine and gearbox as one unit
is the favoured method - unless someone has devised a simple method
for removing the gearbox from a +2 spyder chassis.
