Twink Starter Electrics - Urgent help needed
Posted: Tue Jun 29, 1999 12:46 pm
URGENT:
Can anybody describe the connection between :
(A) the high load ("big thick") cable that runs from the starter
solenoid
and
(B) the stock starter motor on my Plus 2's twin cam?
What I have at the moment, discovered after a 15 minute rummage under
the bonnet this lunchtime, is (A) with a frayed end (at the starter end)
flapping around in the engine bay. The battery is of course
disconnected.
I couldn't quite see the connector at lunchtime - pesky Webers in the
way.
I need to use the Plus 2 for work tomorrow morning, and want to make
sure that the connection is nothing exotic so that I can effect a repair
this evening after work. I may even get to use my new crimping skills
.
Comments gentlemen please.
Thanks in advance for the help guys.
