Loss of Oil Pressure

Does anyone else experience a loss of oil pressure during hard braking and
cornering? White knuckle cornering takes on a different meaning in my S1 as
I coast, watching the guage waiting for the pressure to return and wondering
if I should switch off. The oil level has to be right up for this not to
happen. Even a half quart low brings it on. I think I have gotten the
pick-up tube and "funnel" right down on the bottom of the sump.
Also, how does 20 psi sound as adequate pressure at idle when hot using 30W
oil. The guage reads only 10 which did worry me but checking the guage using
a tire pump with an attached guage that I trust, showed me that it reads 10
psi low.
