Valve clearances

I have just done a valve clearance check on my S4 and the inlet valve
clearances are down around .0015 - .0025 instead of in the .005/.007
spec.
I probably did this myself when I rebuilt the engine in a remote area
and didn't have the correct shims or any way to grind them. Can anybody
tell me if there is any problem running them "tight" like this for road
use?
Nigel.

It would be a good idea to borrow someone's shim assortment and fix it
before you run the engine any at all.
Good luck,
Tony
