About seven years ago I decided to put a potted history of my Elan on the web. The effort was pretty amateurish but if anybody is interested it's at

It took me half an hour to find the web page this morning - I was suprised it was still there!!

I enjoyed reading that little story. Steve, I recently acquired a S2 1965 project. Much like yours it was originally Carmine Red, then painted JPS with gold stripes everywhere, and taken off the road in 1977 ish. It doesn't have a S4 wing though!
