Impact on value of fitting a rollcage?

Hi Sarto

Old English White also fitted the TTR cage to his fixed head coupe - here's the thread:

He mentions that he needed to remove the steering wheel and the gear lever to get the cage in...

I'm halfway through installing mine - but into a DHC, so there isn't the same challenge. Perhaps I should try with the hood up, so I can see what you guys have to put up with? ;-)

Greg, thanks for the info. All that and Rohan's special made version should give me the curage to play in the garage.
As a non racer, I like the idea of a roll cage and would find it a plus if I was to purchase an Elan, just for the protection. I once had a 1966 triumph spitfire and had a single roll bar behind the drivers seat, just because it looked cool. The way it was attached, there was no protection. Back then, I had no concept of danger. Now, any possible interuption of daily breathing is considered.
