It is about time that I posted some shots of my ol' baby.
Pictures were taken in the late 80's that I've recently scanned.

Barney, I maybe have one rear window steel channel in good condition. Just have to check if the one from my car can be rescued. I also got some new front ones from Britain so there might be some more. I'll ask. The door side top/window strip holders are a bit difficult. I could post pictures so you can have them made up.

Thanks for the reply. Any pictures would help, I just cannot seem to find a good close-up of this and they aren't detailed in the Parts Manual either. Some of the S2s seem to have rubber trim and some chrome & rubber.
Some dimensions might be beneficial too?
Fingers crossed for the rescue mission!
Time isn't a problem at present as I'm stuck in Dubai
- 28degC - lots of sun 
- no rain 
- lots of beach 
- with the S2 home shivering in the garage. Should get back in March ---- perhaps.
