Hi all,
I was owner of JBC 633 D in Middlesbrough in the early 70's up till 1975. I have photographs and sold it to a repairer in the North west due to a motorcycle crashing into the side in Dunsdale North Yorkshire.
It had cpl2 camshafts and 33 mm chokes. It was I believe 105bhp engine which I overhauled.

No Kevin, never seen or heard of one. Timeline also would preclude this I feel and the +2 elevated the Elan into the luxury category Andre tried to emulate with his conversion.

Yes I suppose that the Elan silver streak must have confirmed to Lotus that the more luxurious Plus 2 was 'on trend'

Interesting thread; do we now know how many of these "special" Elans were sold?

I thought there was a so-called “silver streak” +2 that had the silver metal flake in clear over the entire car? Gordon

Pete,
I've not unearthed any more than when I wrote in the first post of this thread: "They modified two or three Elan Coupes with apparently fine interiors and fitted chromed wheels."

Ken Myers was the foreman there at the time, but I'm not sure if he's still in the land of the living?
