Route 66

Peter and Allison, upon finishing the Route 66 trip across the USA, drove up from 'Frisco to visit Lotus Land (the ex British colony of Vancouver Island) briefly, arriving here Monday. All day Tuesday was spent in my shop sorting out an ignition problem on their Elan. This morning they caught the ferry back to the mainland en route to Seattle for Allison to catch a flight back to Blighty and for Peter to gather up his sister who is flying in to join him to finish his travels prior to shipping the car back home from Los Angeles in 2 weeks time.
We enjoyed our brief visit and the details of their travels and adventures, it is unfortunate that they had not the further time to explore our rock with its British heritage.
Oh well - the Elan will have at last a Canada flag sticker to join the many other countries sported on its bonnet.
