I understand you posted this just out of interest, but if Ken restored your cars to this standard, you would have been wasting your money. Fortunately, he hasn't and you haven't !
Give my regards to the old man, must get up to see him soon.

Blue Butts, eh? The mind boggles!
The final G type Sprint DHC was Unit No. 0899, per the Arnold table in his books, so I take it that is the car detailed for sale here: http://www.classiccarbluebutts.co.uk/Car158.html
As it happens, we do have the Build Dates for the final Sprints produced in Feb & Mar 73. So although this car has the final Unit No, it was built four days before the last UK DHC Sprint rolled off the line, which of course had an earlier Unit No.
Although MAH 552L is feted as the final E type Sprint FHC, it rolled off the production line four days before the last one made, which also has the final Unit No of 0665
However, and I hope you're all keeping up with this, the actual very last Sprint to be built was 0102H on 6 Mar 73, although the final H type Sprint DHC was Unit No 0103, which was built seven days before.

I, initially, thought this looked inexpensive but the scruffy engine bay, tacky dashboard, and odd details missing and other trivial, but telling bits and pieces evident in the pics. makes me think the "total restoration" wasn`t up to the standard you`d expect. What a shame.

The more I look at this car, the more annoyed I get. I would have loved to have bought this car prior to its 'restoration', and carried out a correct refurb. Obviously that will never happen, now that it has been f..ked up.
Have a look at Bubble Butts website, where it shows more pictures. The front bumper is longer on one side of the car than the other! and it appears that the rain seal above the door has been painted over.......... Oh boy.
As for the price..............dreamland. You wont often find a fool with fifty six grand to spend.
