Two Questions Elan Registry? and Radios?

First; Did the factory supply a radio as option for the Elan, and if so what was the model car and brand of the radio and when?
Second; I added my car to the Elan Registry a long time ago. How do you see or edit your car? I might think they are on some privacy gig, so they wont let you see any other cars, but how about your own car?
Actually what use is a hidden registry? i was a member of both the UK and US Club Elite, and they published a list of members and owners every year.

I believe radios were an option from day one. Early UK cars tended to be fitted with Radiomobiles, they had LW and MW settings, I'm not sure if the US cars which needed FM wouldn't have had radios fitted by the dealers.
The Registry has filters. To find your car go to 'Car Lists' then click on 'My Account' or you can click on the 'search' button and use your chassis number.
You can also use the filters to sort the cars by date of entry into the register or date of manufacture. You can even use the register to find cars of a specific colour.
The names and contact details are hidden for privacy reasons, sadly in this day and age it's not a good idea to have all your contact details on the web.

Thank you for all your answers.
There must be another registry, but I wasn't clear, as the registry I was interested in is the Type 26 Registry.
There is no way to even see your own car on that website, and it seems to me to be some sort of private site with the intent to gather information without sharing any. I'm not sure that was the intent of the original owner.
I'm still not sure why anyone would bother even going to the website.

Two ways to find information on your car
- Login to your account and you can view or update your car
- Use the SEARCH feature on the list cars page.
As an aside, I'm working on an updated version of the registry. Have a look http://test.elanregistry.org/ A bunch of things don't work including adding a car!

The Type 26 Register was set up a number of years ago by two gentlemen with the best of intentions, sadly one of the gentlemen passed away shortly after the register went online and the other gentleman has a thriving legal business to maintain.
Small batches of rare parts were manufactured by the Register, but I'm not sure if that's still happening.

My car 23/4726 is on the registry list, but I cannot open an account. I've gone through the process of registering an account but when I'm asked to verify it by clicking the verify box on the email that is sent to me it says site not found error code 420. Am I doing anything wrong? I've searched to see if this has happened before but no joy. Help please. BTW my car is listed twice, once by me and once by the previous owner, but I can't delete the latter.

That is by design and is one way to keep track of previous owners. Please don't delete.
Help please.
PM me with your email and registry username and I'll see what's going on and get you logged in.
