Lotus Elan

Floor mats.

PostPost by: Keith Scarfe » Thu Jul 18, 2019 1:23 pm

I am after some over floor mats for my 67 Elan S3. You know the type to place on top of the existing carpet to protect it particularly from my heels digging by the pedals. Now club Lotus advertise some lovely looking ones from Hamilton with stitching and logos etc for over £100 for the pair, but they seem rather expensive to me. Has anyone recently bought some decent ones for reasonable money? Or is this the price I should expect to pay? Cheap ebay ones go for about £20 but these would obviously be of dubious quality and probably not fit and I don't think they are for the 60's elan anyway. So I thought maybe I can find something in the middle. I might go for the Hamilton ones if they are indeed of superb quality (24 ct gold stitching maybe).
Any one got any advice.

Or if doing Mail Order direct try Coverdale - they trade as carcarpets.co.uk.
A range of qualities and good service - I had a fullish (no verticals) set from them a couple of years back - had to wait a while as they were busy, which I took as a good sign.
They will also supply fixing studs etc to stop sliding under the pedals.
I've a suspicion that they supply the usual suspects.
