There was only ever one size of bush Sid, but today there may be differences in tollerance, but that should not equate to 2mm!!!! Are you able to post a picture of the bush area on the bone?

The Parts List doesn't show any change to the bush and it's the same bush for Elan and Plus 2 so it looks like you have been supplied with the wrong parts.

Leslie beat me to it!

Well, there are definately no bushes in there. Send the bushes back and ask for either the correct bushes or a refund, + your costs to send them back.

Leslie

And you bought the incorrect bushes from who exactly?

Oh, and use heat to get them out..........and in. Your bones will thank you for that.

My understanding is on this type of “Metalastic” bush the thin outer steel sleeve is manufactured oversize. After moulding the outer sleeve is swaged down to the correct size. The purpose is stress relieve the rubber and put it into compression. This improves fatigue life of the bush. It’s possible your bushes have missed this post moulding process.
They therefore need to go back to your supplier for exchange or refund.
I recently purchased a set from Sue Miller and they fitted perfectly.

This seems to be a common issue at the moment - mine were too small for my Plus 2 and my pal has recently had bushes for his S2 which were over 1mm too big. I suspect our Chinese 'friends' are to blame.

SJS took them back and he's currently doing some careful measuring and looking at the Robush site

Looks like I will be sending them back to sjs Then did think to get the shell turned down if there’s enough material on the sleeve but don’t think I will bother
Thanks for the link

Mine were oversized too but after heating up the wishbone and using a 10 ton press I managed to get them in ok.

Steve tried to tell my friend that 'they would go in' regardless but his 15 tonne press simply mullered them so Steve was wrong about that. They are clearly out of spec, as were mine but the other way (too small) so I had to slit and tig the eyes on the bones to close up the clearance - it worked but on reflection I should never have accepted it (SJS also).

In fairness to SJS they have been very good with everything else and are my go to supplier these days and are fairly gratious when taking stuff back.

I also bought mine from SJS a couple of months ago and yes they were slightly oversize but I ground a slight leading edge on them and got them in, not without some difficulty I might add, but I got them all in perfectly ok in the end.
