We have an Elan keyring which is not matching with our serial number. An ad on ebay is not the perfect solution. We prefer sell this keyring to the owner of #26181. Is he here? P.S: excuse my poor english... I'm french Renaud

Hi Renaud That number is the telephone number of Lotus at the time...not the car number! The fob is for an Elite or a Lotus 7...the early Elan was issued with a green fob. Put it on eBay and I'll bid on it...I need one for my Elite!! Mark |

Jon, what I meant to say was the red fob was for the Elite and the, ermmmm, Lotus Cortina. The Seven did of course have the purple fob  Mark

 I was watching one on eBay a few weeks back that looked in really good condition but it ended early so obviously someone made an offer the seller couldn't refuse. |

I'm totally amazed at this. Earlier on I was going to reply "That's a Telephone number" but decided not to; in retrospect quite a good decision. The breadth & depth of Lotus knowledge on here always amazes me but this Subject & the things to know about it has just blown me away. Unbelievable, I feel humbled. John |
