Hi, I am considering selling my Elan Plus 2, the problem is its value, it has a metal flake roof in silver and the car is regency red, it has MOT and ( december '72) free road Tax, but loss of my storage facility means its now living outside, and taking some water! tax till dec as is mot. might even be jan it was tested.. going mad.....

I fitted a Galv OE lotus chassis and felt saddle, it has also had :-
new clutch, ring gear, starter, new clutch hydraulics, master and slave cyls, new discs all round, new rear lower 'a' arms, brand new front anti-roll bar - spyder, new ring gear, new 'big' radiator - full width, electric cooling fan, Burton coolant filler temperature sender holder hose thingy, Chrysler Avenger coolant header tank - owing to the greater coolant capacity it requires this to allow for the expansion of coolant - needs fitting permanently , brand new servo, rebuilt calipers x4, new pads obviously, new handbrake cable and pads and actually works well, new u/js all x 4. new carpet set included, new coolant hoses, new brake lines, goodridge flexys, silicone fluids, spider u/j doughnut joints on rear, new trunnions, top ball joints, steering joints, gaiters, dampers, recently had screen rebonded, new door seals, new rear window seals, new boot seal, 5 x new tyres - firestones. everything works. needs paint, engine developed a tap on overrun but oil p still high could be small end? gearbox fine, both rebuild by vegan tune in early 80's since rebuilt 10k miles covered. new sills - galv, headlining good door cards good, dash slightly peely but has that old charm. new door locks, leads. cap, electronic contactless ignition. heaps of bills, manual. lack of time ~ interest usual life issues....
email for pictures, still drives fine. needs adjustable dampers setting up. no bump steer. chrome ok on front, rear bumper needs rechromeing. good wheels. has some spares, gasket kits, new fuel pump, and kit to rebuild again. amongst other bits.
interior trim good, seats ok, headlining repainted with woolies stuff - looks good, needs body paint, new carpet going in, all windows work ok. n/s door lock stiff but opens, probably needs adjusting. lights go up/down ok. although valve probably could do with renewing. Will not break. may keep if no interest. values on these only going one way!

whats it worth you tell me.
