I have a really nice Elan Sprint for sale , Colorado orange , un restored and doesn't need it , probably one of the best untouched original cars offered apart from it was repainted and converted to a DHC by Mick Miller in 1986, its numbers matching as they say and with all its correct paperwork intact

its a lovely car if you like the colour , its cheaper than an original DHC and would make someone a great good value un troublesome entry into Elan Sprint ownership, give me a call any inspection welcome , its advertised in the usual places so take a look , its got to because I have four Lotus cars and will have no room for them soon

regards Steve

Very original looking car. I've spoken to seller a couple times, seems an honest fellow. No connection to car or seller.

I love that colour. I have it in heartbeat if it was located down under.
I always thought I would never buy a "chopped" Elan but I would love this one!

Nice looking car if the one shown is it.

But "untouched original" - don't think so.

Glad to see its finally being described as a converted car here as that fact was previously being avoided on ebay and other adverts. I see nothing wrong with a converted car - each type have their supporters but I still reckon the DHC is the more desirable car though fewer FHCs will drive up their prices.

Still a trade sale btw albeit a home based one.

Hi , I purchased the Elan off Steve last week and I love it, I drove it back home over 100 miles, never missed a beat!
Steve was a top bloke to deal with and we had a good bit crack. Proper genuine bloke some lovely cars on his drive, couple of Ferraris, Lotus 7 with BDA motor in, Brabus merc, and yet he's so humble...
I popped back to see him the other morning and he showed me his De Tomasto Pantera, honestly took my breath away, WOW I was gobsmacked at the sheer awe of it, this was on my bedroom wall as a kid, it's the first time I've ever seen one in the flesh.
Any way few things need sorting, paint the white back in with new sprint stripes. Also going to purchase a new hood from Sue miller.
Sort the gear lever out as it's all over the place but the gearbox is perfect, well for an Elan!!
Possibly get the carbs balanced.
Roll on the sunshine.
Oh, I have a set of 13" minilite knock on wheels with tyres I will be popping for sale here or Ebay. I dont think they suit the car but would be ideal to use for a trackday or a hillclimb Lotus.
Off to clay bar it now while the weathers ok...

Well I sold my 1972 Lotus Europa TC and it's off to France on Tuesday. I liked the Elan soo much and it's a lot easier to get in and out of TBH.
Few little jobs to do on it but really enjoying the car.
Europa was really well set up, coilovers, rear discs, with QED head, cams, pistons and a 5 speed Renault Fuego Turbo gearbox with a banks conversion. Went bloody well and handled superb, alas not much cabin space and no wind around my LACK of hair whilst driving.
Plus it was as low as a slugs lip to get in and out of.

I'm finding myself confused by what the phrase "un-restored" means these days.
