That looks metallic green to me, almost an olive green. Not sure it would pass as silver!

well I'm sorry guys......appreciate I am out on a limb here but I find the hype when an article has an association with famous people or historical events a bit tiresome..........e.g. how much would someone pay for a pair of marilyn monroe's knickers?
I would wash them and give them to oxfam.....
would it be wise to touch anything in the car in case there could be damage to some remnant of the great man's dna?
what does so-called provenabce bring to a lotus driving experience? probably a minus quantity since the car is more likely to become a museum piece.....

so a famous previous owner brings just bragging rights if you ask me [ok you didn't].....

I might pay a bit more than it'd go for without provenance (so in this case say it was worth ?5k without...I'd give ?6k with)....but that'd be it.......certainly not ?80k
its the people with too much cash and the latest craze for celebrity that befuddle me.....

there are people who've turned celebrity into a job....how did that happen?
