1968 Plus 2 Elan LHD project for sale, chassis, 50/0891.

Off the road since 1974.
Flat bonnet early car, no accidents.
New, galvanized "genuine" Lotus chassis, drilled and taped for locating bolts, suspension is mounted and a roller.
2 new galvanized "genuine" Lotus sills, installed.
Body recently professionally painted, 2 part water base with clear coat, very nice Original French Blue.
Most engine machine work done, 4 bolt crank bores 0.40 over for new pistons which are included, engine requires assembly.
Weber head is good with valves in place, standard cams included.
2 Weber DCOE 31 carbs.
Early cam cover painted and ready to install, light Blue.
Reconditioned gearbox, 3.77 diff.
Front brakes overhauled and installed, rear cleaned but needing pistons, comes with new new pads front and rear.
New adjustable shocks front and rear, assembled.
New steel branch manifold.
New SS silencer.
Original steel wheels with 4 Nader nuts, new Tyres required.
Lots of new parts, all weather rubber seals, all chrome in good condition, 2 rear bumpers, one good, the other needs TLC.
Front bumper in good condition.
Door frames VG, cleaned polished and ready to replace
Set original wheel trim rings.
Original wiring very good and in car.
Original signed steering wheel.
Requires a new head liner.
Interior good and all there, needs crash pad, dash re-veneered but not great!
All gauges in good condition.
Glass is all good, needing installed with new supplied, rubber seals.
Both front seats recovered in dark Grey leather.
Requires new seat belts, available at Paul Matty.
Console is poor requiring new or rebuild.
Needs carpet, comes with some Grey that can be made to fit.

A lot of thought into selling, it has to go as I have too many other Lotus projects, just needs assembled, most expensive work completed. There may be a few minor parts missing, but not many!

I have some interest in your Elan Plus 2 project. Can you tell me more about the new, galvanized "genuine" Lotus chassis. Did you purchase this and, if so, where did it come from? Do you have any sort of listing of missing items? As far as engine reassembly is concerned, it it your understanding that all parts necessary, are included? Are there any items, other than those specifically listed, that you know require refurbishment or replacement?
