Pictures of my Lotus Elan SE4 for sale as promised yesterday. The price ?28,000 or best offer. It has had one previouse owner from new. If you would like to arrange to view or ask questions call me on 01827 705506. I am in Tamworth on the Staffordshire/Warwickshire border. I have a very large document file on this car from way back. It had over ?7000 spent on it in the nineties including a factory galvanised chassis and a five page list of parts replaced whilst the body was removed. This work was done by a lotus specialist Fibreglass Services in Chichester West Sussex. Some of the mot's show only mileage from his garage to the mot station and back in 12 months as the owner was in his nineties when he sold the car. The car has gone through a part restoration with many new parts and rebuilt engine and diff included, stainless exhaust, Brise starter motor, new interior,correct load star head lining seats recovered to correct spec, new olive ash dashboard (?650), powder coated wheels and new tyres, new carpets including boot carpet, new halogen head light assemblies including bowls wiring and chrome rims,wide co re radiator for better cooling, new dash crash pad etc, new rear lights and indicators, new lighting switch and many more parts I have forgotten.

Even better now Ted as I have just had the door cards retrimmed and the steering wheel recovered, also replaced corner trim panels by back window.

Are you positive that "lodestar" is the correct pattern for the headliner? I've had 2 1968 S4 FHC (one Federal, one UK) with originally "confetti" pattern - which was impossible to source for a very long time but I has been offered again for a couple year now...

Yes I am sure it is correct. When I purchased the car it had one previouse owner from new I replaced the original headlining with the same load star pattern that was in the car when I bought it.

You are best to contact Paul Matty or there is someone on ebay selling the sunvisors for these cars, speak to both of them as I did. There is a cross over period as in all manufacturing of older vehicles and stock was never thrown away. Either way you wish to go they will supply you with the item you require.
