Lotus Elan S3 & Europa Project. NE Connecticut

Up for sale are two stalled lotus projects that need to find a home with the right Lotus buyer. The Europa was last driven 20 years ago and what started as a simple bodywork repair on the Europa eventually evolved into a complete restoration including full bodywork, custom interior, tall block engine, 5 spd gearbox, fuel injection, rear disc brakes etc. Unfortunately, the project was never realized and the builder passed away and so its time to pass it along. A few of the parts from the collection are listed below. This list is by no means exhaustive as the collection between the two cars is sizeable. The elan was purchased from Don Tingle along the way and was stripped in preparation for paint. A significant amount of paint prep was completed ~ 15 years ago however the car was stored outside and should be considered a full restoration project.

Many of the parts are co-mingled so the preference is to find the right lotus buyer who will purchase both cars. The elan sits with its suspension and so is likely to roll. The Europa is sitting atop a wooden frame with casters and is suitable for moving around the garage. The buyer will be expected to transport both vehicles and parts.

The elan was a complete car when it was disassembled 15 years ago.
Weber head engine. Engine and drivetrain are a complete assembly outside of the car. Cams have been removed from the head. A total of ~ 8 cams/dist drive shafts are included.
