What number is a Lotus Seven?: 7
Hallo to all,
I bought two 711-blocks.
The first block has the following numbers:
711M6015BA
3B6
T12
bore = 81,5mm
The second block :
711M6015BA
5G7
T10
B
bore = 81,5mm

Can anyone identify the numbers and letters??

They are both 1600 Xflow blocks overbored to 81.5mm (standard 81.00mm)

71= model year.....1971 although it was introduced in late 1970
1= kent type
M= not sure but think its the plant where cast
6015= ford part number for a block
BA = 1600 (AA is 1300)
T10 = lot of hype spoke about the T number (some say the higher the T the thicker the block wall but I doubt it.)
B= ????
5G7= ????
3B6= ????
