PM's working?

PostPost by: Matt Elan » Sat Sep 24, 2016 4:58 pm

I've tried to send a few PM's recently but they seem to be sticking in my outbox. Is there a solution?

It stays in your outbox until read by the recipient. Try sending one to someone who knows it is coming to test the system. Me, if you want.

Just been asked by a Forum member about this, in that a PM he had sent stayed in his outbox.

I sent him a PM and he replied. BUT his PM to another member remained in his Outbox.

Now I know that it stays in the outbox until read.

I just spent all morning trying to fathom out why the message was stuck in the outbox. I deleted it twice and wrote it again! So many thanks for posting up the reason.

It was working as planned.

Messages stay in YOUR outbox until read by the recipient.

Thanks for the help. It's unusual because if you use Email then messages always leave your outbox once you are connected to the internet. It might be useful to others if the outbox here had a note to explain that messages remain in outbox until read by your recipient. I don't know how you would know this otherwise. Apart from reading this very helpful Q&A section obviously!
