Easy enough:

  • Mark the messages you want to delete by clicking the check box at the right hand side of each message, or use the "Mark all" checkbox at the bottom (this marks all on the current page only)
  • Select "Delete marked" from the drop down list next to the "Go" button at the bottom of the list
  • Click the "Go" button
  • Click "Yes" when it says "Delete Marked Messages?"

For mantaining PM history I suggest the following: go to the 5th (last page), "mark all" and then "Export as CSV" or "Export as CSV(Excel)", you then will download those messages as an Excel file and can store that backup file anywhere on your PC.
After that proceed to delete those as described by Jon.
You then have always your 80 most recent PMs at hand. and older ones on the PC.

Thank you, Guillermo, I'll have to read a few tabs and pull down menus more closely. All sorts of tricks are secreted away in software.
