Will the speedo drive cable have a tight turn exiting the chassis or be trapped under the body?

Original differential unit & shafts train are temporary to the car, they are weak for this engine.
As I mention before, it will be replaced by TR 6 unit, which is stronger and heavier, but contributes to better front/rear weight ratio.
Power/weight ratio are not in the main task, as it is to built a reliable car for regular use, not for racing. :D

Hi to everyone,

After a major health problem with a happy end :D, I 'm back to continue the project.
Here are some exhaust system details, and a start up test video, prior to final bolt on chassis & body together.

That's an excellent solution to mounting the exhaust. Look at the clearance...

Beautiful job Gus. Congratulations!

Out of interest did you consider tying the chassis to the sill plate with tube / boxes front and rear to stiffen the chassis?

Good morning Vincereynard,
and thanks to you, SENC, GINO, JonB, Elan Peter, Peter +2, Certified Lotus,.. for your replies and encourage words !

Almost all known mods for stiffness to the std Chassis previous posted to" Lotus Elan.Net " , have been done and much more. The "box" technic applied everywhere were possible.
Original chassis have been rewelded and reinforced with 2mm & 3mm plates inside-out, especially in front & rear towers,as well as crossmembers, TUNNEL and all mounts & weak points prone to crack.
In conjuction with the "limited roll cage " !, the reinforced GRP body and the adds of tower/strut bars front & rear, the roll stiffness of this project 'll be exceptional for road use.
