Various items

Hi All

I know that owners are wary of buying used brake parts -but- before I throw these out is anybody interested?

I recently converted my car to plus 2 front calipers and without thinking ordered pads from Classicar Automotive completely fogetting that the spec for plus 2 models is for servo systems (mine no longer has a servo).

Needless to say it didn't stop too brilliantly so after around 30 odd miles use I fitted EBC green pads but despite assurances that the material was soft enough these didn't seem much better.

Finally I sourced non-servo spec pads from a GT6 specialist and these work fine.

Both sets of pads have covered no more than 60 miles overall- in fact the faces are not even shiny yet!

£10 for both sets plus postage- or you can collect (Liverpool).

Other items-

1 NOS genuine Hardy Spicer universal joint. Greaseable, ie has a grease nipple £5
2 BRD universal joints. Unfortunately non-greaseable £5 the pair

1 dynamo taken from my sprint following an alternator conversion. Working fine when removed. £5

Paper element type oil filter £1

Finally (have advertised this previously) a competition clutch cover with around 10 miles road use only. Bought from P Matty. In fact it's probably an uprated item rather than a true competion item but it's still b****y heavy to use.
I fitted it when I converted to a 5 speed box but found it a pain in stop/start conditions. Might suit a masochist though! £15- will post but prefer you to collect.

Contact either via this forum or ring 0151 480 8400- John

Hi- message for John P Clegg.

John, I'm not sure if you got my e-mail about postage costs for both sets of pads- I've been quoted 7.06 for both sets. This is the unpackaged weight so I'd add on about £1.25 for the packaging.

Regards

John
