Elan S2 "Elephant Skin" flooring

PostPost by: nigelcnewton » Sun May 20, 2018 3:43 pm

I have a used original set of this flooring taken from my S 1 1/2. The pieces are cracked and generally unserviceable but could be used as patterns by an enthusiast. If any one would l like it free of charge please let me know. I am based near Sandwich in Kent.

It will be going in the skip in two weeks if no interest.

Actually these early floor mats were made from the skin unborn Gilla monsters

Perhaps before recycling theflooring you could make templates by drawing around them on brown paper then fold/roll-em-up to store the paper for future use ?

I would be interested in taking them, or patterns made from them. I would be able to collect, but possibly not within 2 weeks.

Out of interest, what have you replaced them with?

Hello Paddy

I can hold on to them for a few weeks if you want to collect - I just wanted to resolve their destiny within a fortnight or so.

I imported the JAE kit to replace the original flooring.

Please let me know if you want me to hold the old stuff for you and when you might be able to pick it up.

Regards

Nigel

Thanks. I'll let you know as soon as I work out when I can come across to collect. How did you find the JAE kit?

The JAE is very good if expensive. It looks authentic and is wearing well.
