Lotus Elan

REVOLUTION WHEELS FOR SALE

PostPost by: 10kph » Thu Oct 25, 2018 11:19 pm

FIVE Alloy Revolution wheels plus four adaptors for Lotus knock on hubs to suit spinners.
The wheels are 5 1/2 x 13 inch with a depth of 9cm from centre to inner lip of wheel. The wheels were fitted to a Plus 2 with standard springs and did not rub but could possibly be fitted to a baby elan. They are all in excellent condition and have probably not had much use because the car they were fitted to had not been on the road since the late 80s and garaged.
I am looking for £500 and located near the M62 Uk and can be collected either East or West side.
If interested then PM me and I will be able to send more photos.
Regards
Tony

would you please check reasonably carefully frontspace and backspace (reference being the plane where the wheel presses the hub, the distance to the inside lip, then to the outside lip - typically measured with one ruler across the lip and a measuring device at right angle - then substracting from the total width)?

also, would you please measure the threaded hub extender total length and threaded length, as well as non threaded external diameter ?

thank you!

Further measurements as requested.
outer rim 16 cm wide.
Inset 9cm
therefore from flange face to outer rim edge 7cm
Adaptor
63mm dis
length 72.5mm
inside thread 29mm long
outer thread 22.5mm long
What more can I say except that a baby elan needs 5 inch wheels unless the arches are modified according to another member.

thank you ! indeed fitting 5.5" wheels to a stock late elan is not that easy... my guess is that those who managed it must have had the backspace set just right so that front space let the tire just fit.
