Lotus Elan

Elan CV Driveshafts for Sale US version - SOLD

PostPost by: Mazzini » Wed Jul 10, 2019 11:01 am

I'm putting my S2 back to standard.

My S2 was in the US for a number of years and it came back with US made CV driveshafts

This is what the R. D. Enterprises website has to say about them - https://www.rdent.com/

"Elan CV Rear Axle Conversion Kits

Each kit includes two uprated differential output shafts with bearings, axle shafts with Lobro CV joints and adapter for outboard (hub) shaft. Installation is not difficult and can be accomplished by the Elan owner/mechanic. Enjoy the increased reliability of cv axles - no more rotoflex couplings to fail! If you're serious about eliminating the rotoflex couplings (donuts) this is the only way to go! Much better than u-joint conversions! Elan CV Rear Axle Conversion Kit is fully assembled and ready to fit. One kit required per car.

Ref. 26RD0034 Elan CV Kit - $1600.00

This kit does more than just replace donuts!
It replaces rotoflex couplings, intermediate axle shafts, differential output shafts and bearings, and associated hardware.
Some cv axle kits retain the original diff output shafts; out kit replaces them! New diff output shafts cost almost $1000/pair"

I have no idea what they're worth, but I'd be happy with £650 plus postage or make me an offer. PM me.

Gentlemen,

Thank you for all your PM's.

In fairness, I shall work through the list in order that I received them.

Thanks,

Rob

The driveshafts are now sold to a gentleman in the US.

Sandy, thank you for your offer, but it was only fair and right to deal with the interested parties in the order that they emailed me.

Thank you all for your interest.

I deleted a bunch of posts because adults do not know how to behave in public.

If you have a negative opinion about someone - we do not care. Keep it to yourself.

For those who have forgotten, here are the basics from Primary School:

  • Know how to deal with bullies. Bullies are weak, insecure people who hurt you to feel better about themselves.
  • Sometimes, people pick fights for attention or because they're bored or unfulfilled. Ignore these people to make them look like idiots.
  • Tell a teacher or administrator.
  • Never instigate a fight. No matter how disrespectful someone is to you,
  • Do whatever you need to do to control your temper - listen to some calming music, eat a big meal, or perform some vigorous exercise, for starters.
