Looks like some stripping and racing setup of the body. A stock 160 hp Zetec and MT75 and no details of whats if anything done to chassis and suspension.

Apart from what race series it can actually run in it looks like it still needs some significant development work to make it competitive or even just fun in any 2 litre class. More weight needs to come out i suspect and HP needs to go up and suspension will need development all of which will not be cheap.

20% or less of the asking price may be realistic for a part complete race car build. For less than the asking price you can buy or build a competitive 26R replica with a lot more options in terms of where you can race it.

cheers

Maybe cutting up the galvanised steel plates for the floor? Reminds me of many happy times bodging up the floor on an old Escort!

I thought perhaps it was a typo, but if you read through the description to the end, he says “want it gone ASAP” open to offers, so it’s a way of advertising the car for nothing .
Kindest regards

that steel plate could easily be ally! ------------------- i used to get to use a 1000 Cooper S mini in the very early 70s and it had the same slip-proof foot space¨! sandy -------- btw: that mini was unbeatable back then; however somebody had this black JPS europa which was probably quicker

"Centre looking nuts"

That's a little harsh, I would have said the centre needed some tidying.

That said, many have been there, start out fine but run out of money/time/passion etc or find out that we simply do not have the ability needed, as in..."Exhaust blows as I made it".

Then we decide to never again indulge in such foolishness - until the next time.

Which is what will happen here. :D
