I would say so. You couldn’t build one for that price (I know, my street Elan S1 was built with a lot of 26R components and its expensive).

But it’s a race car, I’d like to know how many crashes and what was repaired Before I would dive in to buy it.

this car looks a lot like one I saw in Oct 2017 at Le Castellet, where it could not run after scruteneer rejection. Can't recall exactly what was wrong, the driver was really taken aback after the long trip from Switzerland for that race which had been scheduled long ago to celebrate a lengthy rebuild...

In any case if one is to purchase a race car for that purpose, it is advisable to check carefully the criteria that make it elligible for racing.

Looks like a nicely prepared car. Needs a bit more negative camber on the front maybe but otherwise looks good from the photos. Dont know why it may have been rejected by scrutineering as safety wise it looks good. Certainly the non wooden dash may be an issue as i understand it from an Appendix K compliance perspective,

cheers

Looks like a very nice car-what is the purpose of the straps on the rear?

I don't fink so!

Judging by how much they deform the boot floor they must be serious. Are they holding up the fuel tank?

On second thought-they appear to be tow straps for pulling him out of the lake!
