I've done a ton of work on this car. Lots more to do. Selling to gin up money for a S1 Seven.

neat project, good luck with the sale.
question....
the letter of provenance and the VIN plate show the engine number off by the last digit. What is the number on the engine block?

and I think the coupe is a better car than a S1 Seven, but to each their own! :)

Good eye, Tom. I didn't notice that. The engine number matches the Lotus plate. So ends in 4, rather than the 5 in the Lotus paperwork.

I agree the coupe is a cool car. You know how selling a car on ebay is; I might end of keeping it. So far 50 watchers and no bidders.

Tempting. I like its scruffiness. I presume the car is now in Montana?

Curious that a car built in April 1966 raced at Watkins Glen in 1965?

It is scruffy. I'm next to certain the car did not race at the Glen in 65. Perhaps the former owner watched the race and bought the dash plaque.

Perhaps it's my poor eyesight but it appears the frame has the crack of doom that appears often in front of the rear A arm's. What is the consensus?

No "crack of doom." Let me know if you need a better picture. Are you the Kurt who just bid on the car? If so, give me a call and I give you a good description-- 443-850-7791.
