Lotus Elan

New book available on Amazon

PostPost by: zog » Fri Nov 22, 2019 1:14 pm

I have just self published another book and it's available on Amazon. It's called "Every Cool Car has a Cool Story".

I have owned over 50 cars over the last 50 years. I've had fun in or with mostl of them. I've written articles about my S1 Elan and many of the other Lotus projects I have worked on over the years so I decided to put the articles together and publish another book. It's available in Kindle format, black and white or a very nice but expensive color version. Sorry about the price on the color version; Amazon sets the minimum price based on the printing costs. Here is a link to the book. It's also available in other countries outside the US.

I also have two other books on Amazon. Europa Euphoria and The Lotus Cortina Shooting Brake.

Great book Bob. We are very similar. I know I have owned over 50 ONLY Lotus cars so that makes me just a little more crazy than you!

This is a highly irrational group — I too have been in the car game a long time — 52 years but only 5 of my 90 cars have been Lotuses.

No, I was never a dealer; just nuts.

I’ve thought about writing a book such as yours (BTW, congratulations for doing it!). However, most of my 40-year career was spent working with automotive publishers (Autodata, Bentley, Chilton, Haynes, Mitchell, Motor, etc. ) and at the end of the day I wanted to be creating more adventures rather than writing about them.

Just got my copy - looks great and will be perusing it during the dark and somewhat damp evenings we are getting in the UK at the moment while sampling a single malt. A first scan shows lots of Lotus bits and some more esoteric subjects: what on earth is a Toyota Venza????

And I can heartily recommend 'Europa Euphoria' and "The Lotus Cortina Shooting Brake' by Bob as well....

A large Camry wagon / SUV. Can get it with either a 4 or 6 cylinder, 2 or 4wd. No longer made

Just finished reading it on kindle - really enjoyed it, and all of the stories made a couple of plane flights go very quickly. Highly recommended!
