Does anyone have pics of Colorado Orange?

PostPost by: scottlong1 » Sun May 17, 2009 4:41 pm

Hi All

I'm considering using this color on my s4dhc, does anyone have pictures they can post? I can't tell if it is a 'true' orange or if its a 'burnt' orange color from the one pic I have seen.

Thanks
Scott

Thanks for the link, I was hoping it was more of a real orange (the fruit) colored orange. It looks from the photos like its a bit washed out from what I am looking for. It could be the pics, they appear to be scans of pictures, any other pics or opinions on the color?

Looks to be a good match to the colour of a Pumpkin!

Not sure, but this 'might' be Colorado Orange.

For reference, the Yellow elan in the BG was darker/richer than a normal Elan yellow. Looked like the Norfolk Mustard Elise colour.

The Elise/Exige 'Chrome Orange' is a rich metallic orange. Might work for you.

I think that?s bahama yellow.

It?s not a lotus but this gives you a good idea of the colour. http://www.classicdriver.com/uk/magazin ... p?id=12295

Thanks All,

I am looking at the bahama yellow and the colorado orange in the prev post and they look pretty damn close. Does anyone actually own an elan, or know anyone who owns one in colorado orange? I might be chasing a color that isn't what I wan't, but all the pics appear to be in overcast conditions, ie washed out colorings. Chrome orange is spectacular tho.

Uk sportscars is a bit of a trip for me, I'm in Canada. The latest round of pics look great, it looks like the color almost changes in different lighting from yellow to orange. I also found a bunch of pics of a europa for sale in california. It looks more inline with what I am looking for than the initial pics. Is this a metallic or solid color? I think its a solid but it seems to change color with different lighting more inline with a metallic/pearl overcoat of orange over a yellow base, or is it vice versa?

Not sure if this link will work but here goes.

It would be great if you could post a couple showing it in good lighting, the europa pics I looked at were good, but elan pics would be better. Is it a solid color? I don't want to get into metallics if I can avoid it.

thanks
