cheapo media blasting

OK ---I read on the net about using your air blow off attachment and baking soda to media blast ---I used my handy dandy sand blast attachment that I have never used to blast some spark plugs and a grotty rusty piece of iron to experiment with [and my knuckle so you have been warned this is no sissy experiment ] and it works a treat on paint but not on metal ----now I think at 5 dollars a large box of soda and 2 fenders a hood -trunk -2 doors -2 rear fenders and one for spare you could media blast a whole car for about 60 to 100 bucks . I have to do my europa and that's the plan =although there are only 2 large rough spots -the engine cover and the roof --its water soluble and environmentally friendly [for the tree huggers -I don't give a damn ] and the hose cleans everything up ---I used 90 pounds of pressure so you may want to experiment a bit to get the best result for fiber glass and the usual safety precautions apply --mask gloves etc ---- ed

Here's the ultimate way to clean anything to do with resto work,
yes, this is an Aussie site, but watch the vid and check out just
how good soda blasting is.
But apparently there is cheap domestic soda and there's is
a special sharp grain soda that is even more efficient than the
ordinary stuff... This looks like the way to go when sripping
anything.
